LIFE HAPPENS #26

Hey guys!

This week has been tiring for me. I started college Monday and have survived my first week as a freshman. Here’s how it went down.
SCHOOL
I decided to drop Yoga and Meditation because it was from about 7:30pm to 8:30pm and I wasn’t too keen on waiting outside in the dark for my ride. I also dropped my Women’s Studies class as it was an online class and I didn’t think I’d have to right mindset on working online and doing things from home.
Which means I only have four classes this semester: English, Math, Career and Life Planning, and Intro to Hip Hop. My English class is more focused on writing and I wanted to learn how to be a better writer and know more about the intricacies of writing. I ended up retaking Algebra 2, but I prefer that than PreCalculus. That class took a lot out of me and I didn’t want a repeat of it so soon. I thought Career and Life Planning would be a good class to take as I don’t really know what to do and needed some guidance in figuring everything out. My friend actually convinced me to do Intro to Hip Hop with her. Although I’m good at some dance styles, hip hop is kind of a challenge for me as I’m more of a soft dancer. But why not challenge myself?
This first week of school was surprisingly easy. I found my classes easily and didn’t have too much of a hard time looking for them except for dance. Dance class was at the larger campus and within two minutes, I was lost in the parking lot. I did find my way to class after my friend found me.
PERSONAL
I found this cute app called Plant Nanny which Morgan D recommended on her August favorites video. You basically try to keep a plant alive by drinking water. I think it’s really cute and I can’t wait for my plant to grow up! While on the topic of apps, My Study Life is also a great app for students. I wanted to get a student calender on my phone since I always forget to use an agenda during class. Now that I have a syllabus and an outline of when everything is due, it’s a lot easier for me to work on homework to get ahead of class.
When I came home from Chicago, I found myself with a mess of a room. It’s not too bad, but I’ve been trying to wittle down my wardrobe and I keep tripping over things. I’m going to spend this long weekend to get rid of a few items and trying to figure where everything should go.
That’s it for today! Thanks for reading!
