Hey everyone!
I’ve already broken a few New Year goalswith my infrequent posting, but what else is new? Because of that, I’ve combined my January and February favorites into one post.
January
Learning how to watercolor
I enjoy learning a new artistic avenue to help my depression. It’s been going well, but I’m still trying to figure out how to make a travel friendly kit.
A fluffy heart pillow from Target
I bought this sometime in the middle of January. It was love at first sight. It’s served well for cuddling.
Takiyaki (Japanese street food)
I love this Japanese food item with all of my heart. I’ve been eating so much of it that I’m considering buying a takiyaki maker and learning how to make them myself. I usually get them from a tapioca tea (also known as bubble or pearl tea) store.
Instead of listing the songs I’ve listened to, I made a playlist of songs I’ve loved in January. It’s a short playlist because I tend to listen to the same songs over and over again.
February
gnash concert
I went to the August Hall venue to see gnash. I enjoyed the experience especially listening to the two opening acts. I just wish I had cash on me to buy some merch.
Welcome to Nightvale
I know the popularity of this podcast is huge, but I’ve never listened to an episode until this month. I’ve listened to episodes out of order since I can’t figure out how to change the order of my queue on any of my podcast apps.
This month’s playlist includes one of my favorite comebacks from Dreamcatcher. You can watch the video for it here.

As usual, you’ve been making a very productive use of your time, and being creative in the process. I’m intrigued by your current fave snack food, Takiyaki, but I’m not the sort who’s likely to purchase items from street vendors or unconventional food establishments.
As far as my own diet is concerned, instead of consuming bagged salads, which were giving me gastrointestinal distress, I switched to canned and frozen products, which I’ve been digesting more easily. And the increased variety of vegetables has made mealtime more satisfying.
I saw most of the Oscar nominated films I had a genuine interest in watching. I enjoyed “Green Book” and “The Favourite” which has spectacular costuming, makeup, and of course, great acting.
On television, I found the Netflix series “Umbrella Academy,” generally entertaining, although it is largely derivative of The X-Men.
