Tippin’ Tuesday//Halloween Safety

Hey guys!

I haven’t done one of these posts in what seems like a long, long time. So I decided to make a quick Halloween themed post! Being safe during Halloween is very important. You’re basically asking strangers to give you free candy and we all know some kind of horror story about the holiday. Stories aren’t always true, but it’s better to be prepared in case of emergency. Here are a few ways to keep safe during trick or treating.

WEAR BRIGHT CLOTHES
If you’re in a costume, try to wear something bright. A jacket is great since it gets chilly in the evenings and most costumes aren’t very warm to begin with. If you’re not in a costume, it’s always a good idea to wear bright clothes for people to find you easily. You’ll stand out once you start crossing paths with other trick or treaters.

STAY WITH A GROUP
Not only is it much more fun, being in a group will give you a better sense of comfort. Although there would be more people to count off to make sure they’re there, you’ll always have someone near by in case of emergencies.

BRING A FLASHLIGHT
Or any kind of light. It can get dark really quickly where I live and my brothers like to spend hours trick or treating. I have a light that I use to make sure my brothers know where I am and a flashlight once the clock starts getting towards midnight.

BRING A PORTABLE CHARGER
In any situation, a portable charger is a must. In case your phone dies, you definitely need a portable charger to keep connected to your friends and family.

BRING A FIRST AID KIT
When you have brothers that like to fight, a first aid kit is a must. You might start getting a blister or maybe you need a tylenol for that headache your kids are giving you. The first aid kit doesn’t have to be very big, but it does need to have whatever you think you’re going to need.

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I always want to make sure I’m prepared for any surprises especially on Halloween.

That’s it for today! Thanks for reading!
