Hey everyone!
Today is the beginning of NaNoWriMo! I’m excited to announce that I have already passed the word count for the day. Although I am done with today’s word count, I will be writing more after this post. I have a vague outline for this novel, and I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to finish it this month. Before I could even think about finishing my novel, I want to share with you the items that I use to prepare for an easier NaNoWriMo.
Notebooks are my preferred method for writing outside. I like to carry one around and jot down notes and scenes when I don’t want to use my phone.
I find that the Bic Crystal pens have an easy ink flow, and I don’t have to grip the barrel too hard to hold onto the pen.
When I’m home, I usually type my NaNoWriMo work as it’s easier to count my words and edit later.
This year I have a vague outline that’s specific with only the characters that need it most. I’m really excited about what I’m writing this year.
Green tea keeps me warm and wanting to keep writing when it starts to get cold. I bought a special cup for this year’s NaNoWriMo because I wanted something bigger so I don’t have to get up that much.
Usually Halloween candy and chips. I have a fondness for chocolate sweets and have to pace myself whenever I start to reach for them.
I don’t create playlists like other people because I don’t have the patience for it. I do listen to different songs and a variety of music to motivate myself when writing.
I concentrate on writing more when I’m comfortable. I usually change into pajamas right when I get home so I don’t get distracted when doing work.
If my mind wonders when I’m writing, I like to take a break and read a book or zine. I use zines to spark inspiration and read books to get insight on character development.
Movies are a great way to take a break or have background noise. Featured in the picture is Chocolat and Labyrinth.
Not only can I catch up on my Watch Later list, the background noise usually sparks inspiration to write.
There’s everything that I use to make NaNoWriMo easier for me. I tweak this list a little depending on what I’m feeling that day. My goal this year is to be win like last year.
