WHEN LIFE SLAPS YOU IN THE FACE

Hey everyone!

I think this is the first time I haven’t completed Blogmas in a while. Like the title says, life decided to put me on a roller coaster without my permission. If you keep up with me on twitter, then you already know that my grandfather wasn’t feel well again last week so I had to stop writing blog posts for a while. He is feeling better now and will hopefully continue to feel better so that he doesn’t have to go to the hospital again.

If you keep up with my twitter, you might’ve seen the sporadic tweets about the cold and snow. Snow? California doesn’t snow, you might be thinking to yourself. You’re right. It doesn’t snow in California. I’m spending my Christmas and New Year’s in Chicago. Not only have I finally gone to Millennium Park, I’ve played around in snow for the first time in years. I was greatly amused.

This impromptu break has brought a lot of realizations to how I want to run this blog. I try to be ambitious with goals like posting at least twice a week, but I don’t really want to do that. I want to post content that I love. I want to write about my favorite hobbies. I want to just write.

So next year, I’m taking a new path with this blog. Instead of posting twice a week, I’ll be posting content that I’m happy with and think is a good fit for the blog. This could mean once post a week or three posts a week. It depends on schoolwork and how passionate I am about the post. I’ll try to keep up with LIFE HAPPENS posts, but I can’t guarantee that they’ll be consistent.

I do have a list of New Year’s Resolutions, so a post on them will be coming up a little bit. I hope you guys are having a great New Year’s Eve.

What are you doing for New Year’s?

Thanks for reading!
