Hey everyone!
It’s fall season! Halloween is right around the corner, but what if you want to do some self-care before the blessed day? Here’s my top 3 self care practices when fall comes along.
Fall cleaning
Just like spring cleaning, fall cleaning is one of my favorite ways to make me feel better. There’s something about being able to control what’s around me that helps me remember that I can take control over other aspects of my life. I get rid of anything that doesn’t fit me or doesn’t fit my lifestyle. Since I practice my own form of minimalism, taking the time to update my certain areas of my life goes a long way in helping me spend more time doing what I love.
Watch Halloween movies & reading more horror stories/comics
Halloween movies and horror stories always gets me into the season. Halloween movies are great for any season, but October is just the right atmosphere for them to truly come alive. I binge watch Halloween Town, Tim Burton movies, and other classic favorites. This year, I’ll be searching for horror anime to add to my movie list. While I’ve been trying to read more horror stories and comics to spark my creative process, it’s slow going when there’s so many different genres and creators to look into.
Do a large tarot reading for the season
I usually find a spread on Tumblr or pick out cards that are calling me. I almost always learn something new about the situation or question that I asked. It gives me a whole new perspective for the fall season. My fall tarot reading happens on Halloween night, but I might do several readings this season to have a larger sense of what’s going on in the following months to come.
