Hey everyone!
I started a new semester of classes this week, but a few professors had opened up their classes early for students to get a feel for their teaching method. I’m reading through assignments and feel parts of me slowly suffer as a result, but what can I do? Focus on more fun topics like stationery.
This year I’m reusing a lot of supplies that I didn’t use last year and going digital since most of my classes are online. I know that handwriting notes are more helpful for students (as seen in several different studies), however I’m going to be on the go a lot so I have to adjust.
Digital
Besides my trusty laptop, I have a few things that will be helpful for on the go note taking.
Kindle Fire 7 // My new tablet has been helpful in my desire to read more. I’ve been reading so many books lately now I can bring them with me on the go. I’ll be using my Kindle Fire 7 to read textbooks and type out notes for most of my online classes.
Bluetooth keyboard // Since I wanted to write more, I got a bluetooth keyboard to help make it easier. I chose this particular one since it can fold in half and is small enough to fit in most of my purses. Now I can take notes easier on the go too.
Google Drive // The entire Google Drive family has always helped me with writing out essays and making presentations. I’ll occasionally use Evernote for note taking, but I mainly use it for my personal writing.
Canva // I know this is mainly for creating graphics, but I used it to make my vision board and wanted to find new creative ways to keep learning.
Physical
I know that college ruled paper and blank paper are always going to be in my arsenal, but here’s a few more specific items you can find in my bag.
Bullet journal // I usually don’t leave home without my bullet journal since it has everything I need for my life. I’m currently using this notebook as my bullet journal.
A Five Star folder // I have a few of these that I use for different projects. I’ll be using one of them as a “catch all” folder that’ll hold all of my physical notes that I’ll be transferring to an online notebook later.
Sanrio pencil and Sharpie Fine Tip pens // My holy grail mechanical pencil that never leaves my side can be found in my pencil pouch with the Sharpie Fine Tip pens that I use for my bullet journal.
Post-its & note cards // I use them to write down ideas, study vocab, and other similar activities. If I can’t bring my bullet journal or folder with me, I usually try to write down ideas on post-its and note cards and my Kindle Fire in case I lose one or the other.
