Hey everyone!
I successfully made my first vision board after watching a variety of youtube videos about the topics. I think the one that helped me most understand the process was this video which said to have words, but to also make sure they have meanings or a concrete end goal. I’ll show some of my thought process for my current vision board and what I’ll be putting on my new one after completing goals. I used the Canva website to help me make my vision board as they have a ton of different templates already in place.
WHAT I PUT ON MY VISION BOARD + WHY
The first part of the vision board had to have something with creating content. I wanted to be able to create something daily or at least every other day because it’s how I express myself best. The words “Create daily” with pictures of what types of creative content were the first things I put on my board. I put the words “be consistent” near them to remind myself to be consistent with creating. I don’t have to make content every day in terms of recording or writing, but creating content ranges from changing tags on my blog, updating blog posts, and other ways to make my content reflect the idea that I’m going for. The pictures are a mix of my own pictures with free stock pictures from the Canva gallery.
The second portion of my vision board includes events that I want to go to or hobbies that I want to continue. The map represents traveling with a few flags of where I want to go and a personal photo I’ve taken while traveling in Chicago. A picture from my first (and only!) Warped Tour experience to represent going to more concerts with friends and family.
The last part is more geared towards health. I have a picture of a person doing Tai Chi and a picture of fruit. I recently learned about Tai Chi during Fall 2017, and it is one of my favorite ways to stay in shape and keep me mindful of my body. I am taking Qigong in Fall 2018 to further my education about the topic. As for the fruits, I’ve recently started craving sugary foods. As I planned out this blog post I have consumed at least four mini kit-kat bars. Eating so many of them in one sitting is going to come back and haunt me so adding more healthy foods like fruit will be helpful in the long run.
WHAT WOULD I CHANGE
While I love my current vision board, I like to update it as my goals change or evolve. I’ve manifested my new job so I’ve created a new vision board to reflect a more concrete goal. I also added more descriptive language to my board to dig deep into what I really want out of each goal. My new vision board does look a little cluttered to me, but I do like how more “in depth” it looks. I used the same thought process described in this post so let’s take a quick look at the new vision board.
Quite an evolution, right?
