December Challenge 2015//Finals Preparation

Hey guys!

My Finals are next week, and I’m kind of freaking out. I have my dance final on Friday, math and English on Monday, and personal development on Tuesday. There isn’t much to study for in dance than to dance the choreography that my group and I created. However, for math, English, and personal development, I have to do a lot more. So here’s what I’m using to help me with finals.

FOR ENGLISH
Usually, you get an essay due on the day of the final for an English final with a short exam on the same day. Luckily for me, my English final is only an essay that’s four to five pages with a works cited page. I found a few resources that could really help out with it.

Mendeley: I just found this today. It’s just amazing. Check out this post for more on how to use it to its fullest extent.

Evernote: I’m still iffy on using Evernote after losing about three years of notes a few years ago. I decided to give it another chance this year since I needed a place to back up my files.

The Citation Machine: Just like the title says, this site helps you find the right citation for your article, website, etc.

Easy Bib: Another helpful citation site. Citations are essential for essays.

FOR MATH
There’s honestly no right way to study for math. You can make study guides, revise, or whatever it takes for you to get the information down in your head. I like to just skim through my notes, do a few chapter problems in the sections that need more work, and then believe in myself during the test. If I think I can do it, I’m more likely to make sure I do things correctly.

FOR PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Since my personal development class is about career and life planning, I just need to read the articles and understand the material. It’s that easy. For other similar classes, I suggest going through your notes to jog your memory about the material then work on the topics that you don’t understand or need more time on.

There’s no set way in preparing for finals. Just do what you can and believe in yourself. Also, check out my tumblr feed because I think it’s starting to become a studyblr and personal life tumblr. It’s very surprising.

That’s it for today! Thanks for reading!
