December Challenge 2015//Thrift Store Haul

Hey guys!

I just came home from a fun outing with my dad, my uncle, and my middle brother. We went to a thrift store where I ended up getting a few things. Okay, maybe a lot. Thrift stores are fun to browse around and get inspiration from. There’s a ton of clothing that may inspire some kind of writing or maybe you find a book that would be expensive somewhere else.

In today’s hunt, I wasn’t really looking for anything. I was just browsing around, looking at clothes and asking myself, “Did people really wear these?” I had put away a large velvet thing when I spotted it. A Winne The Pooh Denim cut off vest. I couldn’t help myself. I had to get it. It was $2.99 with a 25% discount. It’s really whimsical and easy to pair with different outfits. I can already see myself in a long sleeve shirt, the Pooh vest, and my old lady cardigan. I couldn’t leave it there.

After browsing around the clothes, I wondered into the book aisle. For me, certain thrift stores are a hit or miss with their books. Some have really amazing books like advance reader copies, or only have the kind of books that you’d find hiding away in the darkest corners of the library. Today was a treasure trove. I found a lot of young adult novels and even the entire Fallen series. I didn’t get the Fallen series as I’m not interested in the series, but I thought it was amazing that it was there. I did get about ten books though. I’ll be posting up the haul on my book blog since I want to go more in depth with them.

That’s it for today! Thanks for reading!
