Hey guys!
Lat week I spread my wisdom *cough*crazy ideas*cough about how to love yourself. Now I’m focusing on outside forces who try to bring you down whether intentionally or unintentionally. As in, family, friends, and the world. Although all three influence you differently, they all are important in shaping who you are. It’s important to learn how to embrace them. Here’s how I do it…
REFLECT ON IT…
I almost always reflect on what I’ve been told by my family, friends, or the world. They see me differently than I see myself, so obviously they would have some kind of insight about me.
BUT DISREGARD IT
Sometimes criticism is good. For essays and the like, but for a person? Most of the time, advice doesn’t work out because people don’t know the full picture or haven’t experienced what you have. Everyone is different and have different ideals, so obviously it’s up to you to figure out what works for you. Don’t let anyone tell you how to do things and live your life. Unless it involves power tools. Then I recommend some advice because I wouldn’t want to lose a limb.
SO JUST GO FOR IT
Just go with the flow. People will judge and mock you, but don’t give them the power to belittle you. Use their negativity as a way to bring yourself up instead of bringing you down. Positive energy should be used to fuel you, but don’t rely on it to always motivate you. Embrace people’s influence, but don’t let then change you.
That’s it for today! Thanks for reading!
