USING HABITICA (AGAIN) TO STAY ON TRACK

Hey everyone!

Last month or so, I found out that Habitica had an app for iPhones and Androids. I’ve been using it regularly to help create more consistent habits. Since it’s so much easier to have the app, I’ve decided to join some Guilds and Challenges.

I haven’t been using Habitica as much as I wanted to, but now that I can check off items on my list, I’m slightly paranoid of not checking off my to dos. The app is easy to use with different tabs that help separate each category of tasks similar to the website. I do wish I can see how many To-Dos there are in the app. It’s also a lot harder to remember to check the News and Guilds on the app as they don’t show a notification on the main menu that something new has popped up.

However, the app has greatly improved the way I approach certain habits. I’m currently in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Guild whose challenges are easy to understand and finish. I found that the way they set up the First Year’s Challenge and the Slytherin Challenge made me more likely to finish or do a task since I want my House to win the House Cup.

I’m definitely going to be using Habitica for as long as I can. Although I don’t have a party to go on quests with, I might find one this month to challenge myself further.

Have you tried Habitica? What do you do to create healthy habits?
